Meet Our Partners

At U.S.E.D. our purpose is to build new relationships with you and your business.

Pick-n-Pull

Pick-n-Pull -N-Pull has been our largest and longest supporter. Supplying us with our seatbelts for the last 10 years.

End of life vehicle recycling technology has grown with the growing demand on the industry. With 50,000,000 vehicles world wide reaching their end of life each year.

The industry standard is 75% of a vehicle by weight is recycled in the spare part industry and by shredding and recycling the metals.

25% is left as automotive shredder residue.

This mean that 51,175,000,000 pounds of mixed polymers, nylons,(seatbelts) plastics, and rubber are landfilled each year.

Another Day at the wreckers.

Modern Niagara

“Sustainability plays a role in many areas at Modern Niagara - including health and safety. With harnesses being made of durable material, they are difficult to dispose of at the end of their lifecycle. That’s where U.S.E.D. comes in.”

U.S.E.D. is working directly on a project with Modern Niagara to help reduce the industrial waste of their retired safety harnesses. We intake their expired harnesses and re-purpose the materials into unique tool bags designed specifically for the needs of their company.

Shade Sails Canada

Shade Sails Canada and U.S.E.D. have teamed up to turn excess waste into something amazing. Shade Sails Canada, known for top-tier, weather-tested shade solutions, is now handing over its discarded materials to U.S.E.D., turning excess into durable, functional products.

For Shade Sails, it’s all about extending their commitment to quality and sustainability. Instead of tossing out cut-offs, they’re giving them a second life. For U.S.E.D., it’s another step in their mission to keep as much waste as possible out of landfills.

This partnership is all about making the most of what we’ve got—transforming scraps into something that lasts and making a positive impact along the way.

“We partner with U.S.E.D. by providing our old safety harnesses to be turned into tool bags, and we love them!”

CNH Industrial

CNH Industrial and U.S.E.D. are working together to reduce waste; by re-purposing used weld drum straps from their sites as a material in our products. This sort of partnership is a win-win, with CNH Industrial offloading their waste in an eco-conscious fashion, and U.S.E.D. creating unique products with their materials.

CNH donations for a recycling and sustainability program with U.S.E.D.

CNH Industrial’s Saskatoon branch is setting an example by shipping their waste to us at U.S.E.D.

La Baguette

Did you know that all of our products are shipped in sanitized coffee bags that come from local coffee shops?.

These bags can be reused for more than just shipping! You can save your own to reuse dozens of times, as storage for homemade soups and chili, dehydrated meals, or other long-term and lightweight packaged items.

Just flip your empty coffee bag inside-out, sanitize, and dry thoroughly. Then, flip it back around, and pour in whatever you would like to package. You can use any flat-iron to heat seal the opening shut, and you’re done !

We’d love to see photos of what you’ve cleverly done with your bags! Tag us:

Thank you to La Baguette and The Modern Bakeshop located in Revelstoke, B.C. for saving their bags for us to reuse.

Columbia-Shuswap Regional District

Every year thousands of child car seats expire and are discarded.  If you would like to see your product go to a better place than the landfill, we have some options for you.

If you live in the Columbia-Shuswap Regional District all child car seats, including infant and booster seats, can be recycled for a fee of $5 per seat. Locations for car-seat recycling include the Golden, Revelstoke, Sicamous and Salmon Arm Landfills and the Falkland, Skimikin and Scotch Creek Transfer Stations. U.S.E.D. works directly with the CSRD to collect webbing and straps from these recycled car seats to reuse in our products.

If you live outside of the CSRD, check out https://clekinc.ca/recycling/ to see where your nearest car seat recycling station is. If you would still like to ship us your straps and webbing, or other material you think we may be interested in, big or small, feel free to send us a form on our contact page.

New recycling programs are more environmentally responsible, ensuring car seat components are properly recycled rather than thrown away.

““I love my Betty bag! So durable and functional for carrying my books, and it’s a bonus that it is made out of something we used to just throw away!””
